About Me
Where it all Started
I found my passion for commercial photography, art and advertising while attending college in the 1980’s. This was prior to the digital era and everything was being shot on large format film. Working in this era as a commercial photographer and artist in Chicago, I developed my creative and technical approach to my work. The change to digital opens even more possibilities and expands the creative envelope to, what can be.

Harnessed Skills
I leveraged my skills and experiences to answer the call to serve my country. Enlisting as a combat photographer and videographer, I dedicated 24 years to capturing and sharing the stories of the Air Force and Department of Defense. Throughout my career, I traveled globally, documenting life in the air as an Internationally recognize 9G certified combat aerial photographer and videographer. I also had my boots on the ground, working closely with all branches of the military, including Air Force combat rescue, AF special operation, Army, Navy where I had the opportunity to fly and document life aboard an aircraft carrier. My work took me to critical locations around the world, capturing powerful moments in history during times of war, humanitarian relief, natural disasters, and various contingencies. This experience not only strengthened my technical skills but also deepened my appreciation for the dedication and sacrifice of those who serve.
A Life of Experience
After retiring from active duty, I took on a Producer/Director role at Air University, Maxwell AFB, AL, blending my passion for storytelling with technical expertise. I worked closely with producers, clients, and scriptwriters to bring scripts to life through set design, lighting, and visual elements while directing actors, managing cameras, and ensuring seamless audio-visual integration.
Beyond directing, I handled post-production, refining raw footage into polished content with advanced editing techniques, sound integration, and visual effects. In the fast-paced world of government media, I often wore multiple hats—producer, director, principal photography and editor—delivering high-quality, engaging visual storytelling.

Exceeding Expectations
Now retired from the military both in active duty and as a federal employee, I enjoy going back to my roots capturing imagery in story-telling, highlighting products and businesses, invoking emotion or just opening the eyes of the viewer to the world and the beauty around us. As a commercial photographer / videographer in Chicago, most of my work was in products & catalog, food & beverage, corporate portraits , beauty products & lingerie and finally model composites. I love the challenge of creating visually interesting imagery that compels the viewer to stop and look.
